Where does the time go?
I started out so good with this blog but lately I have just kind of let it slide and not kept it up. We're all still alive and doing well. I'm in the middle of painting my bedroom so I should be moved back in...hopefully by the end of the month, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'm going to try harder to keep up to date, my goal will be at least one post a week.

Ethan's One Year Old
Ethan turned 1 on the 10th. We celebrated on the 12th. We had family over and had a BBQ and then cake and ice cream. Julia took this picture of him that we put in the local paper.

Haircuts, and more haircuts
I cut Erica's hair on Saturday night because it is just so stringy and after she's slept on it it's terrible. It is really a cute cut, it's kind of a pixie cut and frames her face nicely. I also gave Emily a trim, her hair grows really good in the middle, she had a small section that was actually down to her waist, but she needed it trimmed just a little to even it up.
Last night I found huge hunks of blonde hair on the floor, who.... what... oh I was mad. I first thought that Erica's had been chopped a little more but then I saw Emily's ponytail. Oh I wanted to cry, she had taken a huge, long chunk out. I had to cut it above her shoulders to even make it look decent. She's still got a small section in the back that is very short, but I'm not going to cut the rest that short so she's just going to have that one section in the back that will be shorter then the rest until it all grows. Emily doesn't look as cute as Erica with short hair.
I knew this day would come sometime I was just hoping that it wouldn't be so soon.
Still haven't found the camera cord to add pictures! Where did it get put???

First "Official" Haircut
I gave Ethan his first "official" haircut last night. I 
wanted to wait until after his birthday, some silly thing I have about waiting until their first birthday to cut their hair. But last week Annie decided that he needed a haircut and so she took a few big whacks out of his hair, he had two big half circles at the base of his head and then a few very short chops off the top. I had to use the clippers and cut it pretty short to make it blend in without buzzing it completly off. I took some pictures of it after Annie's cut. It's kind of hard to see, the flash reflected off his shiny little head. But there are some good cuts there.
