Provo City Center Temple

We toured the Provo City Center Temple today. This temple is the second of its kind in that it is built from an existing building. The first is our very own Vernal Temple.
The Provo Temple was originally the Provo Tabernacle and was used for community events, and if memory serves me right it was the building that Michael and I had Stake Conference in the year that we lived in Provo.

In December 2010 the building was badly burned in a fire. All that was left was the outer shell.

In the October 2011 General Conference President Thomas S. Monson announced that the building would be restored and turned into a Temple.

The inside of the Temple is beautiful. There is so much detail in everything. The inside of the hinges, the door knobs, the murals on the walls, the wall paper, the stain glass windows, everything is so exquisite. There is so much detail you don't have time to see it all.
