Christmas Review

We had a good Christmas this year. On Christmas Eve we spent the afternoon with Michael's family in Duchesne. The kids went on 4-wheeler rides, and sledding on the hood of a car pulled by a 4-wheeler. We then picked up Michael from home where he'd gotten about two hours of sleep after working 30 hours straight. We then went to my parents house where we had dinner, read the Christmas story and opened presents. I had my camera with me for both activities but forgot to take any pictures.

On Christmas morning we woke up, opened presents from Santa and mom and dad. Went to church with Michael's family. Michael and I dropped the kids off at his parents house while we ran back to town to our ward where I had to lead the choir in a musical number in our Sacrament meeting. Back at Michael's parents we ate breakfast and then played a gift exchange game with presents that Michael's mom had put together. We then opened family gifts from Nate and Colleen and from his mom and dad. We had Michael's entire family, 22 people in all, there.

Everyone then loaded up in vehicles and we headed to Vernal to visit Michael's grandma Liz. The great-grand-kids all got a present from her and we ate dinner. Then back home we came where the kids cleaned up the mess from opening gifts and then played with their presents until bedtime.

It was a good day.

Charity's Christmas

This just goes to show how mean some of my family members can be. This is Charity's present from mom and Benjamin.

Inside all those boxes was a camera.

Michael's update

Michael had his yearly scope done yesterday, yes they stuffed a camera down his throat.  The doctor reports that all signs of his Barrett's disease is gone. So taking his medication has paid off. Now as long as he doesn't have any reoccurring reflux he doesn't need to come in for another three years. So glad that's over with. As long as he's a good boy and continues to take his medicine we shouldn't have any problems.

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving with my family this year. My sister, Dorothy, flew into the Salt Lake airport returning from her mission on Tuesday so Mom and Dad decided that they would pick her up and then just stay at Samuel's for Thanksgiving. I wasn't going to go at first but then decided that we needed to go. I wanted to see my sister and Thanksgiving was with my family after all. We left Wednesday afternoon and stayed until Friday afternoon. It was a small Thanksgiving with Mom and Dad, us, Samuel's family, Caroline's family, Dorothy and Charity.

I was one of those crazy people that went out shopping at 10:00 at Walmart. Stood in line for about 30 minutes to get Aaron's Christmas present at midnight and almost got knocked over into a shelf. I did eventually end up with what I was there for. So I got a little bit of Christmas shopping done. Now it's actually time to get serious and get things going, Christmas is now less than a month away.

Ammon's 10th and Erica's 6th Birthday's

We celebrated Ammon and Erica's birthday at Grandma and Grandpa Crapo's this year. I was able to get pictures of them opening their presents but when it came time for the cake my camera wouldn't focus on the kids, the candle light was messing it up I guess.

Halloween fun

We had way too much candy for Halloween this year. We had a ward trunk or treat on Saturday night. Then on Monday we went to the Roosevelt Halloween parade and got more candy. Finally that evening we did a little trick or treating. We got enough candy to last all winter, but of course the kids have eaten it already. Can you say sugar high!

 We had the escaped convict
A knight in shining armor :)
 A pink butterfly
 A witch
 Tinkerbell
 Luigi

We also had a frog but his costume ended up being on the small side so he was only in it for a little while while trunk or treating.
