Before a new temple is dedicated the public is invited to an open house, to walk through and view the inside of the temple. This is the only time that non-members can enter a temple. It is also the only time that un-endowed members can enter the temple. We were able to get reservations to take our family to view this temple and let our children ask questions about the temple.

Ethan's 7th Birthday
Ethan's birthday was last week but because of Michael's work schedule and things going on he had to wait 10 whole L O N G days to have his party.
Ethan was fine until Colleen asked him what her name was and told him that if he couldn't remember her name he couldn't have her present, then he started pouting. :)

This is a Bumblebee piggybank. He's been begging for a bank
since last summer when James got his train bank.

UBOC Spring 2015 Concert
Spring Concert of Mack Wilberg Masterpieces. We learned 16 pieces either written or arranged by him in 8 weeks. Dr. Craig Jessop was our guest conductor that evening and Mack Wilberg conducted four of them himself. What an evening to remember. This is the closest I will ever come to singing in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
Here I am, second row in-up behind the harp.

Christmas 2014
We were all together Christmas morning this year.
The kids asked Santa for a Trampoline with enclosure; and he didn't disappoint. Now they just have to wait for Spring to set it up.
We opened presents on Christmas morning at home. The kids all got an electronic game either for their 3DS or for the Xbox from mom and dad. Julia gave the boys remote control trucks, Annie a nurf gun, Emily and Erica got money towards their goats. Then we went to the Anderson's and opened presents and ate lunch.
We had a late 'Christmas Eve' the day after Christmas with the Crapo's. I was able to take some pictures of the kids opening their presents from Grandma and Grandpa Crapo. Aunt Natalie put names on towels for each of us for our family presents from her family.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Christmas Letter 2014
Dear Family & Friends,
It is the season of Thanksgiving and Glad
Tidings again; a time to remember our Savior's birth, a time to be thankful for
family and all our blessings.
Aaron(14) - is
doing well in school, he is a Freshmen this year. He did so well that his
teachers recommended him to be a student leader at his school. He claimed to
know more about the computers and projection systems then the teachers. So he
was always helping. Aaron is singing in the ward choir. If all goes as planned
Aaron will be returning to our home the middle of January.
Ammon(13) - is in
7th grade and has had an amazing start to the school year. We are in more than
a quarter of the school year and he hasn't been sent to the Principals office
once. He's been working hard in his classes and his teachers are impressed with
his work. He has been taking karate for a year now and has earned three belts
(yellow, orange, & purple). His instructor says if he would practice daily
he would be able to pass the belts off quicker.
Annie(11) - is
super excited that she is finally as tall as mom. That has been her goal for
the last year, ever since she found out she was only 1/2" shorter. Annie
moved up to the Junior High this year, she is in 6th grade and is on the low
end of the totem pole. She was very nervous about having so many classes at
first but she has gotten used to going to different classes during the day. She
is still taking dance; this is her ninth year of dance-second year with Ms.
Heather at Discovery DanceWorks. She is looking forward to starting Pointe
shoes. Ms. Heather doesn't let them do Pointe until they are 12, Annie has
until May yet and she is counting down the months right now, soon it will be
the weeks and days.
Emily(10) - has
been helping her Aunt Julia with her goats this year and went to the County and
State Fair where she got to show a goat. Her goat earned ribbons and cash
prizes in both fairs. She is working towards getting her own goat to show at
the fairs next year. Emily switched dance studios this year; she is now at the
same studio as Annie. She was also doing tumbling but had to quit because she
was getting headaches doing the tricks and being upside-down.
Erica(9) - was
happy that she advanced to Kings Peak Elementary because that meant she could
walk home with Emily. She is in 3rd grade this year and has the same teachers
as Aaron had for 3rd grade and Annie had for 1st grade. (They split the day and
each teaches a half-day). Erica has also been helping Aunt Julia with the goats
and got to show one at the County and State Fairs where she won ribbons and
cash prizes. She is taking ballet again this year after taking a break last
year to do tumbling; she is also taking tap-dance class.
Ethan(6) -
actually loves school this year, compared to not wanting to go every other day
last year. He is in 1st grade, and he is the only child of ours at East this
year. He is taking his third year of tumbling class at Roosevelt Academy of
Arts and is happy to hear when it is Thursday, because that means he gets to go
to class. He has also been losing teeth left and right, if they feel just a
little bit wiggly then he wiggles them till they come out. The tooth fairy is
going to go broke.
James(4) - has
really come out of his shell this year and has started to communicate-with
everyone. He is just a happy kid. He loves to watch Mickey Mouse, Scooby-doo,
and Curious George who is his all-time favorite. He has become very
independent, as most kids do about this age. He has to do things his way or not
at all. He finally decided he wanted to be a big boy and got potty trained so
we are done with diapers. Whew!
Michael is coming
up on his 3rd anniversary driving water truck for Newfield. He has been driving
at night for one year now and the whole family likes it. He is able to spend
more time during the day with the family (as long as people are quiet and let
him sleep in the morning-darn those summer days and long school vacations where
kids are home and dad has to sleep). Michael's biggest scare this year was when
he was diagnosed with colon cancer the end of September. The middle of October
he had a colectomy, they removed 14" of colon and 18 lymph nodes. The
lymph nodes all tested negative for cancer and the colon was a stage 1 cancer. He
will NOT have to undergo chemo/radiation. He will have to have a follow-up
colonoscopy in 6 months and every 12 months thereafter. Michael was serving as
a Stake Sign Language Specialist; he was released from that this summer and
called as the Stake Sign Language Coordinator. He spends most Sundays in Myton
interpreting for the deaf couple there.
Kathryn is on the
School Community Council at Kings Peak Elementary. She belongs to a
scrapbook/card swap that meets monthly. She is in an Orchestra and Chorus that
performs twice a year, with lots of practices the two months before the
performances. This year they were directed by Dr. James Bankhead (Spring
Concert) & Dr. Michael Huff (Christmas Concert), both very well known
conductors. (Here's a preview of our Spring Concert-Anyone heard of Dr. Craig
Jessop? We're singing works by Mack Wilberg!) Her church callings include
Relief Society Pianist, Ward Music Chairperson, and just recently called as
Ward Organist, after an 11-year break--she couldn't hide any longer.
Merry Christmas to all, may you receive
the righteous wishes and blessings of your heart at this time of Joy and Peace. Love, The Crapo Family

UBOC
UBOC-also known as Uintah Basin Orchestra and Chorus
This is the Choir that I auditioned for a year ago and wasn't able to sing in the Christmas concert because I already had tickets for Michael and I to go see The Forgotten Carols in Salt Lake City that night. But I did sing in the Spring concert directed by Dr. James Bankhead and then this years Christmas concert directed by Dr. Michael Huff.
Our Spring concert coming up in March is going to be a selection of works by Mack Wilberg conducted by Craig Jessop.

I enlarged this section of the photo where I'm at. Left section of Soprano's, I'm in the middle of the photo, straight up from the back of the harp.
